Just in time for Easter…
Nike Spring/Summer 2013 Footwear – Illustrated Preview by Josh Parkin
26 Mar
This is a dope idea.
We’ve seen several unique ways of revealing new sneakers over the past few years. This latest stands out not by offering an endless string of teasers or crystal clear HD video, but rather, a playful hand drawn style. That’s what British illustrator Josh Parkin did in conjunction with Leeds’ The Chimp Store, coloring up a series of forthcoming Nike Sportswear styles with playful backdrops suggesting a story deeper than the silhouette. The Nike Air Classic BW x Jaws homage above is the only one making an overt pop culture reference, so have a closer look to see what Parkin sees on the horizon and stick with Sneaker News for release info on the real thing.-via SneakerNews
Nike LeBron 10 “Cork” – Out Now
23 Feb
These are the dopest pairs of LeBrons out!
The upcoming “Cork” colorway of the LeBron 10 pays tribute to the popping of champagne as a sign of celebration and honors LeBron’s first NBA championship. This Sportswear LeBron 10 is the first of its kind and likely set to be the beginning of a trend within the Swoosh brand. As you will see in the photos, the traditional basketball options have been replaced with premium materials specifically for non-performance use. -via SneakerWatch

NIKE Basketball Black History Month Collection
16 Jan
I want that jacket!
“Black History Month represents many things: civic leadership, social stewardship, community activation and much more.
Nike recognizes the importance of this meaningful month with not only a product collection, but a larger recognition of the power of sports to impact society. The 2013 Nike Black History Month Collection mantra “Be Bold. Be True.” celebrates three athletes who are fearless in action and fueled by a purpose.
Consisting of seven shoes, two T-shirts, a Destroyer jacket, Nike Elite socks and a 5-panel hat, the 2013 Nike BHM Collection will debut beginning January 26. A consistent design aesthetic weaves through each product in the collection, with a color palette including black, grey and brown highlighted in orange. The color orange is particularly meaningful with its bold hue and tie to Nike’s DNA since its 1972 inception…” Click HERE to see the collection in full.
Air Jordan 1 High Retro: “Bulls” 2013 vs. 1994 Comparison
4 Jan
Dope!
“…Coming through on that end is this new set of photos that places this weekend’s Air Jordan 1 ‘Bulls’ retro side by side with the 1994 pair. Yes, there is of course the ‘Nike Air’ difference and the back Jumpman branding, but other than that the sneakers do indeed stay pretty true. Hit the jump for a full view and remember to go out and grab the Air Jordan 1 Retro High tomorrow, January 5th.” -via JordansDaily and KicksandHoops
Air Jordan Vs. Nike Lebron: Who Had The Better “First 10″ Sneakers
31 Dec
I mean, I’m biased. I grew up on Jordans, plus I was a Jordan fanatic! But, I got a lot of love for Lebron, and he’s had some dope kicks. The Lebron 9′s are my favorite. However, with that said, my vote goes to Michael Jordan…hands down! Take a look below and let me know who gets your vote for the better “first 10″ shoes.
“…LeBron James unlocked a very rare achievement with the release of the Nike LeBron 10 this season. With so many signature shoe lines that go off the rails due to injury (Penny), burnouts (Shawn Kemp), creative differences (Kobe and adidas, Wade and well, everybody) or lack of public interest (post-Reebok Shaq), LeBron has reached a rarefied air where the only previous members were Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson…”via Kicks on Fire
