I really like this, it’s DARK! I have a thing for real emotion, what can I say? Her voice is like an angel in hell that’s not bothered by the flames. Instead, this angel is bothered only by the pain that caused her to be in hell. I can feel her pain in this track. The drum in the background is like a heart beat, beating slowly. This song is very intense, its very heavy.
Brief Bio: Daughter is 21 year old Elena Tonra from North London, UK. ‘The Wild Youth’ is Daughter’s second EP and follows on from the self-release of the ‘His Young Heart’ debut EP in June 2011. ‘The Wild Youth’ is released on the 21st November, via Communion Records. The delicate tangled roots of Daughter’s early demos, the ‘His Young Heart’ EP and ‘Love’ – the first fruits from her forthcoming new EP ‘The Wild Youth’ – draw from a variety of songwriting sources; from Joni Mitchell and Natasha Khan right through to the XX, Bjork and Jonsi Birgisson.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! Excuse the rather late post, I had lunch with my mother. Mothers Day is a day where we all celebrate the women responsible for bringing us into this world, dear ol’ mom! It’s only right I put these two songs up, both capture the emotion of love I feel for my mother everyday. To say that I love my mom would be like saying that God is good; a gross understatement. My mother is more than the love of my life, she’s my inspiration, my joy, my heart, in short, I love my mom as I love me. No amount of money could ever be enough to pay my mother back for all the love and support shes shown me. She literally is the blueprint for my sense of love, she has taught me what love is through all her acts. So, for lack of a better word, mom, I love you!!!
I dedicate this to all the Mothers out there….HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
