Dope! This is off Adam McInnis’ upcoming album “Soular Flare”.
“The higher you get in your career the more people talk about you whether good or bad. I realized after a while you cant listen to what everyone says but insteal start listening to that light inside yourself and thats when your on fire.” – Adam McInnis
This has an insane vibe to it. He makes some pretty dope records. KJ Hines and Young Day each deliver a solid verse over this party club type joint. KJ Hines is hard at work on his next project Eternal Knowledge due out at the beginning of next year. “Retro City” will not be included on the project but is being released to act as a primer for what’s to come from the up and coming emcee, KJ Hines.
New KJ Hines!! This record has a great feel to it. He’s currently hard at work on his next mix tape titled Eternal Knowledge due out at the end of the year.
I like his carefree approach to this song. He sounds really relaxed, like he’s in another place, its almost zen like to me.
People have been asking where I have been for the past few months.. My answer is I’ve been “Brain Storming.” Peep out my new track produced by my Zooly family FKi. Be on the look out for my up coming mixtape Eternal Knowledge.
This is ill! I love how he raps about something. He’s not another corny swag rapper rapping about nothing of importance to me.
This song really is like a movie, I had this story in my head and kind of based it off of my life story. I wanted everyone that has a dream to realize dreams do come true and even though all odds can be against you blessings come in mysterious forms. With that said keep your head up and keep your faith because it’s always darkest before the light and you never know when, where or who your blessing will come from, keep the peace…
The story telling aspect of this track is ill. I like the video too, simple like he said, but it works. If you’re going through something crazy, listen to this joint.
Shooting this video was a fun experience because I got to shoot it with both of my camera crew members Perri Maclin and Alejandro Crisologo. We wanted to do something simple so while we were in Austin for SXSW we just went downtown and shot some scenes very simple but affective. Shout out to Skreet Ent and my whole team for shooting this video #leftlane
I love the vibe of this record. Sometimes one just has to be alone. It’s a part of growing up, you can only truly realize who you are by being alone. And a lot of the times you lose so- called friends who were never really true friends. Its beautiful! In the beginning it will feel like “fuck everybody” but it turns into “this is what I’m about and the world is actually beautiful.” Nice track. And btw…music isn’t about positive and negative, its about conveying your truth. So as long as you do that, you’re fine bro.
This track is off my “Before By Time Vol. 4″ mixtape. At the time I was going through a transition in my life where I started realizing a lot of my so called friends were really around for the wrong reasons. Sometimes that feeling can just make you wanna be alone and say fuck everybody. I know that’s not the most positive message but that’s just how I was feeling. I am a human just like anyone else who is filled with all kinds of emotions positive and negative. So I hope some of you can relate to this and vibe out to this if your in the same position I was in when I wrote this song much love.
The music video for be alone was produced by Perri Maclin of SkreetEnt.com.
Super chill joint from KJ Hines, makes one wish he had a girlfriend lol.
The story behind this one starts out in Austin, Texas. I recently put on a show at a place called Lamberts in downtown Austin. My bro’s Choze and Josh Gates accompanied me during the trip, as well as on the stage at the show in the capital city. At one point we found ourselves in the studio with A Squared Productions. Long time friend Aime threw some beats our way and at the end of the day we chose the one you are about to listen to. Choze starts things off, then Josh Gates jumps on the mic. You can catch me on the hook and on the last verse of the track.-KJ Hines

I know, I’ve been M.I.A…again…but I’m back on it. With that said, Happy Belated Birthday to the one and only Notorious B.I.G whose birthday was yesterday. He would have been 41
You gotta respect this! Shout out to Mos Def aka Yassin Bey. Don’t Tread on Me is Yasiin Bey’s public service announcement on the harmful impact of stop and frisk on communities and how New Yorkers are taking the fight for their rights to the courts. Learn more about the Stop and Frisk trial HERE
