The video captures Jhameel’s raw emotionality as he watches a loved one crushed under the weight of an abusive relationship. Shadow of a Man was directed, shot, conceptualized, and edited in-house by Jhameel and his team with no outside support or funding, making it a fully independent project. The video was shot amidst the wrecked and abandoned buildings of Salton City, a desolate California ghost town left to decay by its inhabitants in the 1970′s.

Philadelphia rapper e-dubble just dropped his new “Reset” EP last night and I’m excited to tell you about one of the dopest songs off of it. It’s his epic collaboration with the Bay Area’s Jhameel — Code Words.
Code Words features a swaggering, fearless flow from e-dubble and Jhameel’s most ferocious hook to date. The driving piano and monumental drum beat got my adrenaline spiking immediately, hope you dig it!

Jhameel has just released his cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinking About You”. He pays homage to the original with tasteful restraint; softly plucked strings and a mesmerizing beat create a lush, yet minimalist atmosphere. The result is a flowing, immersive track carried in waves by Jhameel’s velvet falsetto.
This is AMAZING…It almost sounds like a whole new song. Jhameel just posted a cover of his absolute favorite song, the Bee Gee’s Stayin’ Alive. I love the dark, moody atmosphere he put on this one, it digs into a more desperate interpretation of the words ‘Stayin’ Alive’ and modernizes the song from it’s 70′s recession roots and puts into a new 2012 recession context. In making this video, we hoped to capture both the natural beauty of a Hayao Miyazaki film and the pulpy drive of a classic adventure flick. A Maiden Calling was the third installment of the successfully released Are You Free series, and spent several weeks on the We Are Hunted charts.
Its been a DOPE run, even though I’ve been late on some songs. This is the finale to Jhameel’s Are You Free series. With the climactic atmosphere of a post-rock anthem, Let’s Run Away immerses the listener in a dark but hopeful fantasy. Jhameel’s captivating, desperate vocal performance inspires an adolescent longing for escape, building the track to an explosive, gut-wrenching peak.

The Long Run takes the Are You Free series in a new direction, capturing Jhameel’s more vulnerable side. He delivers a brash vocal performance tinged with melancholy — as bright, brassy synth lines pop over a Prince-inspired dance beat.
